Of all the roles I’ve been blessed to have in my life—a mom of three, a United States Marine Corps veteran, a wife, a daughter—being Tucker’s big sister will always be one of the most meaningful.
Tucker was someone who brought light wherever he went. He had a way of making people laugh, making them feel welcome, and reminding those around him that life was meant to be lived with kindness, joy, and purpose. Losing him changed my heart forever.
After his passing, I knew I couldn’t let his light fade. I wanted something beautiful to come from unimaginable heartbreak. That’s how Tucker’s Torch was born.
This organization is more than a tribute to my brother, it’s a promise. A promise to fight the stigma surrounding mental health. A promise to encourage conversations that could save a life. A promise to remind every person who crosses our path that they are deeply loved, their story matters, and there is hope, even in the darkest moments.
As a Marine Corps veteran, I’ve witnessed the strength it takes to keep going when life feels overwhelming. As a mother, I want my children to grow up in a world where asking for help is seen as courage, not weakness. Those experiences have only deepened my passion for mental health advocacy and strengthened my commitment to serving others with compassion.
My hope is that Tucker’s Torch becomes a light for those walking through darkness. Whether someone finds encouragement through a Tucker’s Torch treasure, a conversation, a community event, or simply by hearing Tucker’s story, I hope they leave knowing they are not alone.
